Upgraded Plan - Xfinity continually charges for some "storm ready" modem
Needing help here -
Back in September, I upgraded our plan to the 2000/200 plan. Thought it was all well and good.
The next day I got an email stating a modem had shipped. I contacted Xfinity customer service (which is absolutely impossible to get communicate properly with, thanks to language barriers.) I was informed a "storm ready" modem was headed my way, and I was going to be charged monthly fees for it until I owned it. That is not something I wanted. I have the XB8.
I told them to cancel it and thought that was the end of it. The modem shipment went all over the US until arriving at a destination in PA (we are in Atlanta). After 5 different interactions with customer service and now 5-6 hours of conversations, I'm still getting charged for this modem, most recently nearly 300 dollars.
To date, never have gotten the modem, never wanted it, and can't eliminate the charge.
Do I file a legal bill review with Xfinity? Do I have to draft a legal document to get this resolved? Just wanted the internet upgrade and this has been a nightmare and now getting charged late fees, I don't want Xfinity to auto draft nearly $500 dollars because the account is wrong.
Any help would be great. I've lost so many hours on this issue, and can't even get a bill credit for anything.
