TV Box cost increase

I see the monthly cost of each TV box went up from $5 each to $7.50 each.  There was never a notice about this.

Update:  I found the notice at the end of the previous bill.  Basically saying since their costs are going up that they are passing that on to the customers.  Understandable maybe for programming and distribution, but for boxes I already have?

Do you read your billing statements?  Notices of increases are usually found there.

Comcast is hilarious.

These boxes probably cost them $25 a piece.  They then charge their customers a $7.50 a month "rental fee"

Why not just allow the customer to purchase the box.

What a scam

If I use the Comcast mobile remote app on my phone, can I remove the $7.50/mo fee?

Hi there! Using the remote app will not allow you to avoid that fee. The $7.50 fee is for the TV box rental which is required for our services to work. We hope this answers your question!
