Terrible service and options

Xfinity has proven over the course of the years we've been stuck with them, and yes stuck is the right word since they are the only ISP in our neighborhood. The initial deal was for $50/month for 1GB download speeds with 100MB upload speeds. Not great but not a bad price. My bill has since gone up to $120/month because I'm not a new customer, I suppose loyalty means nothing now. Further, every month there are new charged popping up on my bill I have to dispute. I was charged $14 this past bill for equipment I've never had. This is completely unacceptable for the eighth time I've had to fight and I only found out because I look at my bill. Imagine people who auto pay without looking. It's a terribly scummy behavior and is deplorable and as soon as I get the chance I'm getting off this service. They don't care about their customers and every time I call to dispute a charge that is incorrect, I get told to get a free mobile line to save money. Despicable and criminal honestly. And the worst thing is the customer support reps don't have any power over this so I can't even be frustrated with them. The managers insulate themselves with fat paychecks while decent folks have to field calls from angry customers. Xfinity is a [Edited: “Profanity”] service, period.

Concern moved here to the Billing help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.
