Surprising 48% "rate hike"
Recently. we have had many internet outages in my area. When investigating in the app for official outages, I noticed the my next bill in September is going to be 48% higher!
There were no emails, no mail, no notifications at all. As a comcast customer for 25 years, this is quite disappointing and upsetting.

Concern moved here to the Billing help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

@canuma thank you for reaching out over Xfinity Forums. I'm glad our Forum expert @EG was able to move your post, I completely understand the concern when your billing is set to increase and not aware. While we can certainly appreciate your desire to receive immediate assistance with your issue. Please be mindful that sending unsolicited Direct Messages to an Official Employee of the Xfinity Community Forum is a violation of Forum Guidelines. For billing increase we do try to be as transparent as possible, with promotion periods outlined on each statement. The section titled "Regular Monthly Charge" will have the discount duration as well as the specific end date. Here is a helpful article that shows how find the statements either online or through the Xfinity App: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/view-xfinity-billing-history
Based on the increase amount you mentioned that is more than likely due to a promotion role off, from experience I've found that logging into your account online, through the Xfinity App, or at our great broadband facts page:https://www.xfinity.com/broadband-labels eligible promotions will populate.
