Service Update Request
Hello,
I need to cancel my service at the end of the current billing period. I am moving somewhere that already has an xfinity account with internet.

I have heard some unfortunate claims that Xfinity deliberately overcomplicates the cancelation process to disincentivize cancelation. I hope this is not true, as it would prevent me from returning to Xfinity or recommending it, and would require me to take further action.
Therefore, I look forward to a speedy resolution of my request.

The reason we request for our Xfinity family to speak to a live rep is so we can get close the account properly. To get started with this process please send us a Direct Message:

"Search for Xfinity Support" won't work. To send a "Direct Messaging" message to Xfinity Support:
• Click "Sign In" if necessary
• Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
• The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
• - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
• - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send it
