Scammed by Xfinity

I was signed up for an extender without my permission, charging me an extra $15 a month. After being on the phone with Xfinity for 2.5 hours they promised me it was cancelled and they wouldn't charge me for it. Guess what I got in the mail? The extender. Everyone I talked to was completely incompetent and didn't speak English as a first language. I am not xenophobic but when it comes to something this serious I need someone to understand my request and deliver. I've already reported the negative option violation to the FTC and am ready to follow up. I need a phone number for someone based in the United States who can resolve this before I go postal.

Concern moved here to the Billing help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Thank you, @user_dl3f0v, for sharing your experience here on our Xfinity Community forums.

I can certainly understand your frustration given the time you've spent trying to resolve this and the concern surrounding the equipment and charges.

I also appreciate you letting us know that you have already filed a complaint with the FTC. Once a regulatory complaint has been submitted, that concern is routed to a specialized team for formal review and handling. To avoid conflicting information or duplicate efforts, we're unable to continue assisting with that specific issue here. The appropriate team will review the complaint and contact you directly using the information provided in your filing.

If you have any separate concerns that are not included as part of the FTC complaint, we're still happy to help with those here in the community. Otherwise, the best next step will be to work directly with the team handling the regulatory review once they reach out.
