Request for Debt Recall - Paid Final Balance on Closed Account

Hi Xfinity Support,

I am looking for assistance with a formal debt recall for a legacy account that was closed in February 2026.

I recently discovered that a small outstanding balance was sent to a third-party collection agency. However, as of today, I have settled this balance in full and directly via the Xfinity portal. I have the payment confirmation number and the final statements ready to provide.

Since the payment was made directly to Xfinity, I would like to request that this debt assignment be recalled from the collection agency (Sequium Asset Solutions) so the file can be closed correctly and removed from my record.

Could an official representative please reach out so I can provide my account details and payment confirmation via Direct Message?

Thank you!

Hello @user_noahu3,

Thanks for taking the time to create an official post! Once a payment has been made, the collection agency records are updated within 48 hours. Once updated by the credit bureau, the credit report should show the debt as Paid in Full. The account would remain on the credit report as Satisfied Charged Off.

Thank you for the response. However, I am not looking for the account to be marked as 'Satisfied Charged Off.'

Because I have settled this balance directly with Xfinity and not the collection agency, I am requesting a formal Debt Recall. My understanding is that when Comcast recalls a debt assignment from a third-party agency (Sequium Asset Solutions), the agency is instructed to delete the collection entry entirely from their records and credit reporting, rather than updating it to 'Paid.'

My statement from April 24 already showed a $0.00 balance due to internal adjustments, and I have since paid the full amount via the portal (Confirmation #[Edited: "Personal Information"]). I would like to move this to a Direct Message so I can provide my account details and request that the Recovery Team processes a full recall to protect my credit standing. Can you please invite me to a DM?

Unfortunately your understanding of the process would be incorrect, @user_noahu3. That is why we attempt to keep our conversations as public as possible. We have invited many customers into direct message just to repeat the same information, and this leads to a misconception of the process. You can reach out directly to the collection agency, but I am not sure if that would result in your desired wishes.
