Report phone scam
Received a call from Xfinity Billing Dept with 50% discount for two years as long as I pay first 6 months up front for $990 with prepaid Target Card. Actually looked legit because they knew my balance due for April and removed it from my account temporarily where balance due was $0. Provided Billing phone number [Edited: "Possible Scam Phone Number"] and authorization code# [Edited: "Personal Information"]. Also sent email with info. Too good to be true and why a Target CC or PC....hung up and my normally monthly billing reappeared on my account. Changed my password.

The concern is not "On Demand" help related............ Topic moved here to the proper help section, and for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Greetings @user_n1muj8,
Great job on your part by sniffing out that something did not seem right about that call. You definitely have your wits behind you, but I would also recommend viewing our common phone scams and how to protect yourself article. This article will also provide you with instructions on how to report a phone scam to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and I would absolutely recommend doing so. @Again shared some fantastic resources as well, reporting things like this can protect hundreds of people daily.
You did the right thing by changing your password, our Customer Security Assurance (CSA) team is available from 8:00 AM EST to 12:00AM EST 7 days a week to ensure that our customers have the most secure backing possible.
