Repairs to outside cable lines and I get charged $100!
Our cable progressively worsened over a 3 day time period, so I called Xfinity to have the outside cables checked. It took them 5 days to come. When the technician finally did come he told me he had to check inside the house, even though I told him that there wasn't a problem with anything inside the house, but he said he had to check anyway. All of our connections were tight and the equipment worked fine and he finally said that the problem was with the cable junction outside on the phone pole. We finally go our cable back and one month later we were charged $100! I used the chat feature to contest the charge and the person said that they would give me a $20 discount to the charge. Can you believe that!!? OH they also said that they would enroll us in Xfinity rewards, why the [Edited: "Language"] do I need their rewards program?! I just want to get the $100 charge dropped!

Hey @user_db15a0, thank you for reaching out on our forums. Xfinity doesn't charge for techs unless the problem was outside of our equipment or service. For example it was your own modem causing the problem or the family dog chewed the cable. I can certainly check to see what was going on and help with the charge. Can you send us a direct message so I can better assist? You can send one by clicking the "message" icon in the upper right corner of our forum page by the alerts icon. Once you click on that, input our shared handle Xfinity Support to send us a direct message.
