Regional sports fee

This fee just popped up on my bill. It hasn't been charged before the Super Bowl, so why now? Can it be removed? The Super Bowl will be on a channel I already subscribe to and pay for. Please remove it. Thank you!

As long as you subscribe to a TV service tier that includes regional sports channels, they're going to charge the fee. See https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/most-common-taxes-fees-surcharges-on-your-bill.

I just realized I have been charged this all along, but I still think it is redundant to pay a fee on a channel(s) i already pay for. Please remove it.

Hello Bixby1, and thank you for choosing the Xfinity Forums for your concern. BruceW is correct, this charge will always be if TV service is on your account.

Typically, Limited Basic TV service does not include Regional Sports channels and so does not incur a Regional Sports Fee. This is also generally true of Family Tier and Digital Economy TV service where they are available.

I do not have cable TV just internet so why am I being charged for the regional sports fee and broadcast TV fee?

If you don't have their TV service, they shouldn't be charging the sports fee or the broadcast fee. If you recently dropped TV service, this will probably correct itself over the next bill or two.

If an employee doesn't help you here, contact one of their Billing reps and ask them to check the items on your bill. Call them at the phone number on your bill or 1-800-Comcast, chat with them using the "Billing" option at https://support.xfinity.com/chat, or visit a Service Center or Xfinity Store if one is nearby (check locations and hours at https://www.xfinity.com/support/service-center-locations/).

Hello Soph1, thank you for taking the time out to post regarding this concern. The information that (BruceW) provided is correct you should not have any TV related fees if you do not subscribe to TV with us. I can look in to this further for you and correct your account if you're indeed being charged TV related fees in error, to continue please send me a private message with your full name by clicking on my name (ComcastAmir) and then click "Send a message".
