Prorated Money Back

I just canceled my Xfinity internet yesterday April 17, 2026 (it was $70.80 a month). I paid April 13, 2026 for the month like normal. When I brought in my router and canceled my internet at my local Xfinity store they said they would only give me $16 back. I only used the internet for 5 days of the month. Shouldn’t the prorated amount be a lot more? (Used internet from April 13 to April 17….that means those 5 days cost $54.80)

I also could not find anyone to speak to online about this issue. Xfinity assistant wouldn’t work because it said I didn’t have an active account.

@user_yoi7kh Thanks for reaching out. It all depends on what dates your billing cycle covered. In the case of a disconnection any prorated credits are calculated by our system automatically and any charges after the disconnection date are credited overnight. If you'd like us to look at the account we can be more specific.

@XfinityMatthew Thank you for the quick response. That would be great if you could look at the account.

Let's get it done, @user_yoi7kh! If you could send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you.

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:
 Click "Sign In" if necessary
 Click the "Direct Messaging" icon
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
 - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
 - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
 Press Enter to send it.
