Price Doubled Today - Low Income Single Parent With a Higher Internet Tier Because I Work From Home

I am a single parent who works from home and I have both Internet and Mobile through Xfinity. When I originally signed up for Xfinity they were giving me a promotional price along with a special discount for being low income. Well, that special discount was removed but when I spoke to an Xfinity rep they were going to extend my promotional price for 2 additional years to help me out. I guess they either just told me that so I'd be happy with losing that low income discount, or something went wrong in the system. Either way, I absolutely cannot afford this price increase. I can actually get free mobile service outside of Xfinity and I'm probably going to have to drop out of the Xfinity ecosystem altogether and use something more affordable.

Has anyone else had this happen to them? I figured I'd reach out here before I cancel everything.

Greetings, user_p4fn8! Thanks for bringing this important concern to our XFINITY Community Forum regarding your recent billing increase. As a single parent working from home myself, too, I totally understand how every dollar counts. You’re in the right spot! Let’s get this sorted by finding a service plan that really works for your household and budget.
Please send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account. I'd be more than happy to look into this for you.
To send a Direct Message, please click on the “Direct Message” icon in the top-right corner of the screen, next to the bell icon click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon then type or select "Xfinity Support". Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window and press Enter to send your message and initiate a live session.

Hi, thank you for your reply, Natalie. Per the request to keep posts public in order to assist others with similar questions, I'll DM you the information you requested but I'll also keep this thread up-to-date. Hopefully you'll be able to honor the promise of the previous Xfinity representative to extend the promotional price another 2 years.

Also, as a side note, a moderator changed my username to this generic one. I'm guessing because my old username was Fxinity and maybe they thought it could be confusing to people. But I'm locked out of changing my username to anything else.
