payment for 4/4

I mailed my payment for April 4th on April 1 for 133.32 check number 4152 and it still has not been posted. It has not cleared my bank either.  I mailed  other vendors checks to the same sate  as comcast and they have all been received.  Comcast usually posts my check within a few days of me mailing it.  This happened one other time with posting my payment very late. I don't want to be charged a late fee, I also made a call regarding this on Monday.  Does your system post checks in real time? Can I keep checking  today to see it it posts or do you only post at certain time? Thanks

Hi there, @user_e861f0. Thank you for reaching out to us via our Forums. When a payment is made via check it can take between 3 and 5 business days to post depending on when the financial institution releases the funds. Depending on how the payment was made, if it was done via mail, we would need to wait until the mail is received, and then it takes the amount of time provided above to clear and post. If the payment is made over the phone or online with the checking account, it only takes the time between 3 and 5 business days is what it takes. Unfortunately, we cannot control the mail and are unable to verify if the mail was received or lost. If your check was mailed on April 1st, it should've been received by now. I would recommend contacting your financial institution to have them put a stop payment. However, if you would like us to verify the account, please send us a private message to assist you. Please keep in mind that we are only able to verify if a payment has posted or been received. We are unable to check the status of mail.

Those are great questions. Yes, payments have to clear the bank to be posted. As for real-time, they are posted as they are received, however, please keep in mind that it is also during normal business hours. Please verify with your financial institution if they have received a request for payment. That would let you know if a payment has been received by us.

Please remember that it can easily take longer than a week for a mailed check to reach a business. Especially if you live away from a city.
