Old account not lost current service

I have just fixed my account when they found an old balance from 2018 ends in 7160. No way I can pay all that and they have no notice. Currently no service again in the midst of a pandemic and my kids e learning. What’s going on with Xfinity? You spring this on me now? It’s been over a year!!
