No more contract promotions

So I was reading the forums and noticing a common trend, that comcast is not giving contract prices for long term customers. I have been with Xfinity when it was Comcast and prior to that Excite @Home. I have diligently paid for cable internet with the same company since 2000. The most recent interactions with comcast customer service are unacceptable. I reached out before my 12 month contract was due and was told I would get a call on March 4th at 2pm to honor the continuation of my contract. No one called back. I waited until the next day and was told that my price would balloon from 45 dollars with discount for direct withdraw and paperless billing to 70 dollars. This is a 56% increase in cost in 1 year. When I asked if there was any contract offers, I was flat out told no we don't do that even though for the past 24 years I have always gotten a contract pricing for my internet. The straw that breaks the camel's back, I heard that you can reach out to support on the forum for help so I followed the instructions that other people got on here and tried to reach out to support. I just got a direct message reprimanding me and threatening to pull my access to the xfinity forum because I reach out to Xfinity customer support. I can't even type out how livid I am with xfinity. Do you guys remember what customer service is? I can see why there are so many FCC complaints lodge against your business practice.

Below is a copy paste of what I you guys wrote to me

Thank you for creating a post @nmcorp33! We truly want to do everything we can to help find the best promotion available for a loyal customer like yourself. Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address? To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
 - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
 - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it.

It's time to regulate Xfinity.  Write to your representative in Congress.
