New billing after disconnection of service

I have disconnected all services but received that my new billing payment is $98.9 for next month, when I should be getting refund instead. I request checking this issue since it seems like I can’t chat with a real agent via app. My account is inactive so I can’t even access the app.

Concern moved here to the Billing help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hey @user_31b0dk, Thank you for visiting our official Xfinity Forums Community support page. When processing an account disconnection request, the account stays active for up to 10 days after the disconnection date for processing. During this time, an additional bill may be received. This is to assist with prorating the services. As the account may have just been closed, we recommend waiting as a final bill will now be generated with the final charges/credits. The bill should be received within 7 business days.

Thank you for your assistance. However, I have disconnected the service in Aug 3rd so 7 business days should have been already passed. When will the receipt be updated? I received an email from Xfinity today that bill has been updated and that’s when I found $98.9 was charged.

As mentioned above, if the disconnection took place on August 3rd, today would be the 10th day for full processing @user_31b0dk. That means you will receive a final billing statement within 7 business days of today's date with any prorated credits/charges. The bill date for the account must have been some time between August 3rd and August 13 which is why a new bill was received. You will need to wait for the final bill to be delivered for updated totals.
