My payment is " pending"

Its Fri night. I was making a payment to have my services restored as I use the internet for work and do not want to spend the weekend at coffee shops.

I was attempting to split the payment between 2 cards.

I made the first payment and it says Payment is Pending may take a business day to restore service. That would be Monday.

Im hesitant to make the second payment. At this point im thinking of taking cash to my local xfinity store to fully pay the past due. But then I would need to cancel the partial payment I already made about 20 min ago. Can I do that?

I've been thru too much this past week with customer service. Now I go to pay the past due and this happens.

Thanks so much for reaching out with your questions! I know how important it is to get services back up and running as quickly as possible! Normally payments are processed overnight, so if the full payment is made I would expect your services to be back up and running tomorrow morning sometime. Paying cash in the store is always the quickest way to have service restored, but we are not able to refund a payment until it has fully processed. You could try reaching out to your bank or credit union and see if they can stop payment on the transaction.

@XfinityBrianH thanks for your reply

I have never had this happen that I can remember with a payment pending

I have always had services restored immediately, but I paid thru the phone system

I would fully pay the past due now by making the second payment but im concerned that it will drag on until Monday

Not sure what to do

Don't wanna pay close to $400 in cash tomorrow and then they also have my $200 payment I just made

This is not the only bill I owe

I can completely understand that. If you go in tomorrow and pay the remaining $200 you should be good. If not you can reach back out to us here, and we can restore services for you as we can see pending payments on the account.

@XfinityBrianH second part of my reply

I've paid with an agent before with no issues, shouldn't pay with an agent tomorrow?

What if I go to the machine in the store with cash and it says payment is pending? Then what?

If I pay now thru the system what if this drags on until Monday?

You can pay with an agent tomorrow or with the system tonight. Either way the payments will post to the account within the next few days. If you're not turned on immediately you can reach back here, and we can confirm the pending payment(s) and turn services back on.

@XfinityAntoine well then why don't I just pay the remaining past due balance with the card if you can restore the service by seeing the pending payments?

It would be much easier for me to pay the rest of the past due now with my card rather than go drive to the store
