LMTD basic converter

I’m receiving a charge for a LMTD basic converter and have no clue what this is. I didn’t receive this product. I came across forums of customers reviews also having the same issue. Can you clarify to me what this is?

@user_0ulv8k Thank you so much for your post and for, your help with information on our LMTD basic Converter box. This is an older model of our TV boxes. Super basic in design and an older box. Most customers that have these still connected to their accounts may have received a new upgraded box but never returned the older model. They commonly used when we were transitioning from analog signals to digital to help older TVs still work with the new updated services.

I have the same issue. Feel like xFinity just throws in random charges to scam money from customers. I have not had cable service for more than 10 years. Why would this charge come up out of nowhere.

I was just charged $9.85 for the same thingy. I immediately returned it to the nearby Xfinity store and spent more time there than I want to for their mobile sale pitch. Can Xfinity guys somewhere out there instruct me how to get my refund? There is no warning from Xfinity that I will be charged for the unused flex box. Instead of cluttering my mailbox with sale promotion, can you at least send out a notice to warn about the coming charge?

Again I feel unjustified to be charged and I have now returned the box. Can some Xfinity guy in the forum follow up on the refund?

Hello, @user_skbx1s! Thanks for reaching out about the box charge. The charge comes from when the service is removed and the box is unreturned. You are not charged for the box if the service is still part of your services. I would be happy to take a look at your billing.

Please send us a direct message with your full name and complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the direct messaging icon located at the top right of this forums page.

I am also seeing this charge. I do not have any old converters, as they were all picked up by the technician when I got the new ones,

@guttorp - Thank you for leaving a comment with your shared concern. Before we convert your comment into its own post to ensure we handle each and every inquiry properly and efficiently, may I ask if you'e able to compare the number of TV Boxes in your home with the number of TV Box charges listed on your most recent statement?
