I was charged twice for the new contract!

I am a new customer of Xfinity internet. As I chose prepayment option, I thought due today is $50.

But it was charged twice. $50 and then $50 again. What happened?

I want to send a private message to Xfinity Support but I cannot do that because I do not have a message icon next to bell icon.

I've contacted to the Xfinity assistant on Tweeter. Though they did not give me an solution at that time, one of the charges has been cancelled so the problem has been solved. However it's weird there are similar cases to mine.

Hello, @user_ed55d3! I am glad you were able to reach out to our Twitter team they are awesome at what they do! That is very odd indeed, it sounds like there was a false second charge that was not really present since it disappeared without anyone having to physically correct the charge. I can certainly understand the concern of seeing a charge pop up twice on your account, I know I would reach out about it as well!

 

I am happy to hear the charge disappeared and you were not double billed that is great news! Do you have anything else we can assist with today?
