I want to start a new promotional contract to retain pricing, but getting the runaround via live chat.
The current promotion contract ended and the plan has gone up by about $40-45. Looking to get locked into another promotion, but it seems I can only do this as a new customer. So I plan to cancel the service in my "name" and use another person in the household to set up a new account with Xfinity. Not sure retention will be of any help since it seems like the representative I chatted with online was basically able to save me $4 by lowering my internet speeds from 400mbps to 200 Mbps. That is an absolute no-go for such minimal savings.
