I have the $1.00 movie rental for a movie $5.99 or less, can I apply it towards a 5.00 movie purchase? And still be only charged $1.00?

Hello @user_f567e9, and thank you for reaching out here on our Xfinity Community forums.
Great question! The $1 movie benefit is specifically for an eligible movie rental, generally priced at $5.99 or less. It cannot be applied toward purchasing a movie to own.
So, if the $5 movie you’re looking at is listed as a purchase, the benefit would not reduce that purchase to $1. You’ll want to select an eligible rental option to take advantage of the offer.
