How to contact collections

I cancelled service in August yet still receive bills for the months following when I did not have service. An agent opened a ticket with collections but they denied my request to credit the amount I "owe" for service I never had. I have spoken with about 20 agents and they are all of no help. Why is this so ridiculous to get this issue solved? Someone please help fix this
