Formal Dispute of July–August 2026 Charges –

Dear Xfinity Customer Relations,
I have been an Xfinity customer continuously since 2013. That is thirteen years, across three residences and two service agreements. I am writing to formally dispute the charges on my July and August 2026 statements and to give notice that I am terminating my service.
In July 2026, my monthly charge rose from $55 to $109, an increase of more than 100%. I did not request this change and was never asked to approve it. No one contacted me to offer a continuing rate before the new price took effect. When I called customer service, I was told the increase reflected the end of a two-year promotional period. Your representative then found a new promotion at a rate $55 which is close to what I had been paying. That confirms a fair rate was available to me all along. Even so, the representative refused to adjust the July and August bills.
I find it hard to accept that a customer of thirteen years can be moved silently to double the price, with no outreach, and then refused any relief as soon as he raises the issue. That is not how a company should treat its most loyal customers.
Accordingly, I dispute all charges above $55 on my July and August 2026 statements. I will pay $55 + taxes for each of those two cycles, $110.52 in total. This is the rate I had been paying, and your own representative confirmed that a comparable rate is available. Please adjust my account to reflect this. While this dispute is pending, please apply no late fees and take no collection or credit-reporting action.
Please respond in writing within 14 days. If this cannot be resolved fairly, I will file a complaint with the Federal Communications Commission and the California Attorney General's office.
It is disappointing to end a thirteen-year relationship this way. It did not need to happen.
Thanks,

user_l2mybz Hi there! Thanks for using our Forums and for taking the time out of your day to contact us. I am happy to work with you and review the account to see how we can make this right. I understand you are reaching out about the bill changes when the promotion expired, and we got your back. To get started can you send us a DM with your name and address, we will need to look into the account and review it to get to the bottom of this.
