Email "Thanks for Registering Your Coupon"
I just received an email with the subject line "Thanks for registering your coupon".
The body of the email says:
I would like to know what this is a I did not register any coupon. I don't even know how you would register a coupon on your account.
Can someone please advise what this was / is? I mean, don't get me wrong, I like saving $12.99 on my next bill, but I'd like to know WHY I am saving $12.99 when I never applied anything to my account and have no clue what is for.
Thank you!

I think I know what this may be for, but I would like confirmation.
Xfinity Rewards had The Polar Express listed as a free movie this week and I claimed it on Tuesday. I just saw now that the confirmation text I received for it said I was charged $12.99 instead of saying $0.00 like all the other free movies have always said.
I'm assuming Xfinity caught the error and instead of communicating about it, just did this coupon adjustment without any sort of notification to the customer (causing a lot of confusion and anxiety).
Can someone from Xfinity confirm this $12.99 credit is to offset the $12.99 charge for the movie that should have been free? Also, can you confirm if the credit is applied it will cover the full charge of $12.99 + tax so I am not charged tax on the movie that was supposed to be 100% free??
Thank you.

I'm seeing others online having this same issue and they were given the $12.99 credit but it did not cover taxes and they had to complain multiple times to support to get the taxes refunded.

This was to be 100% free like every other movie. I want the FULL amount, including TAXES, refunded. So I need someone to review this and apply the necessary additional credit to my account to cover the taxes and fees that will be charged for this movie that was to be 100% free. I would have never claimed the reward if I knew Xfinity was going to screw it up and charge me.
