Does xfinity start to bill customers on the day that they order service or when the service is activated by the customer?

I would like to order Xfinity cable TV service with two Xfinity wireless boxes. I would like to know when Xfinity starts to bill customers. Is it on the day they order service or when the service is activated? I presently have Xfinity Cable internet through the Internet Essentials program. Thank

Hey @user_t4owjx, Thank you for visiting our official Xfinity Forums Community support page. If you have possession of any cable boxes, those will need to be returned as we no longer have any Xfinity X1 set-top boxes listed on the account. They can no longer be used until they have been returned to the warehouse and reset.

We do offer our Xfinity Video services which is a separate service outside our Internet Essentials program. We do not have video services bundled with the Internet Essentials services.

If you were to order our Xfinity Video services, the billing would start on either the date of activation or the date we schedule for activation. If billing takes place in the middle of a billing cycle, there will be prorated charges on the next service bill for the future month and the partial past months charges.

@user_t4owjx Your billing statement bills you for services in advance. You would have to refer to your statement to show the exact billing periods. They are not the same day as when your bill is due. Your services would begin to bill the day service is activated. Please review the billing statement or send us a Direct Message, so we may get you the information.

I would like to order Xfinity TV but I would need to know when the first payment for services would be due. If I were to order X1 TV service on Feb 1st when would the first payment would be due? I already have Internet Essentials which payment is due by Feb 20. The reason why I would like to know is because On Dec 1st I ordered X1 cable from Xfinty and the total cost was about $249 a month Well, I received a bill on about Dec 19th for $360 which I could not pay. So, I canceled the service under the 30-day satisfaction guarantee. If I knew the date when the first payment would be due, I could better budget for it. Thanks

Concern moved here to the Billing help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.
