Did I get phished?

I got an email telling me to update my billing information to keep my autopay discount. When I tried to do so I was told to call the phone number [Edited: "Personal Information"], which took me through to a company called forte payment systems. The agent tried to ask for my account and routing numbers, which made me a bit suspicious,  and now I'm worried I may have been phished. Was the email legitimate?

@user_162119 Thank you for reaching out on the Xfinity Community Forums. Email for anything payment related would have come from a Xfinity email. We would have asked you to log into your Xfinity app to update payment method if needed. If you provided bank account information you would want to contact your financial institution and make them aware of the situation. If you are currently on Autopay you can take a look through the Xfinity app or Xfinity.com to make sure your banking information is update and correct. We will never ask you for that information over social media platforms. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance to you.

Anything that is suspicious you can report here: https://internetsecurity.xfinity.com/help/report-abuse

However, we would never ask for a routing number, we ask for account numbers over the phone, full names, and full service addresses. From what you stated it may be a phishing scam but that link we will help make sure.

I no longer work for Comcast.
