Debt Collector Contacting Me for $34.60 That Xfinity Previously Resolved
Hello Xfinity Support,
I’m hoping someone from your team can help clarify an issue with a balance that appears to have been sent to collections.
Back in December, I contacted Xfinity after receiving emails about an overdue balance of $34.60 from a previous address. During that call, the representative told me the issue was resolved, and the emails about the overdue balance stopped after that.
However, I’m now receiving emails from Sequium Asset Solutions, a debt collection agency, stating that this same $34.60 balance is in collections. They have also started texting my husband about the debt.
The confusing part is that I do not see this charge anywhere on my current Xfinity account, so I’m not sure why it was sent to collections after I was told it had already been handled.
I’m completely willing to pay the balance if it is legitimately owed, but I would like to understand:
- Why this balance was sent to collections after it was previously resolved
- Why the charge does not appear on my account
- Whether this is connected to my current account or an old account/address
Could someone from Xfinity please look into this and advise on the best way to resolve it?
Thank you.

Hey there user_68a5ur 👋 I'm glad you stopped by our community for help with this billing issue as I know exactly how alarming it is to be receiving notices that you owe money anywhere you aren't aware of! Above all we never want to leave you in a place of uncertainty with your billing, so I'd be happy to look into this further for you to help determine what may be prompting the collections notices 👍
Please send us a direct chat message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the full service address associated with your account to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the chat icon located at the top right of this forums page.
