Credit Card Chargeback

I have been looking all over the internet looking for an answer to this question but have not found one, so I am going to ask here.

What are the repercussions of filing a chargeback with my credit card company?  I have had a dispute with Xfinity for almost 2 years now and after every avenue has been tried, I am left with only 1 option and that is a credit card chargeback.

Thanks in advance for the answer,

-Xfinity customer

I'm not interested in a private chat I just want to know what happens if I initiate a credit card dispute.  Also it would be helpful for others to also know so a public response would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Xfinity customer

@UserChew if you are filing a dispute with your bank, nothing would happen to your account initially.  If payments made to your Xfinity account were to be rescinded and result to an amount equal or more than 2 months past due, standard collections procedures would begin.

If you are looking to dispute charges to your credit card account from Xfinity, the best way to have that completed would be to reach out to the financial institution attached to your card @UserChew.

Yes, I am fully aware of how to do a dispute, but I am asking what happens to my Xfinity account if I do a dispute.  The little information I read was Xfinity would send me a bill for the amount or send it to collections.

Can you please answer what is the penalties or repercussions of doing so.

Thanks,

-Xfinity customer
