Can't set up auto-pay with checking account

I want to set up auto-pay to avoid late fee and also to get the $10 discount/month like the agent said when I set up my service with xfinity; but I have been unable to. Every time I try to go to the auto-pay setup page, it keeps saying I can only link a credit/debit card. The message is: Only credit/debit cards are accepted at this time. Please let me know how I can link my checking account. I talked to an agent via online chat and they said it would be fixed in 20 minutes but that was yesterday and today it's still the same issue.

Hi @user_fv89hl Thank you for reaching out on the Xfinity Community Forums. We are happy to look into this for you. Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address? Our team can most definitely take a further look at this issue.

To send a "Direct Message":
Click "Sign In" if necessary
• Click the "Direct Message chat" icon

This also applies to me, and I'd also prefer to be able to link my checking account back in.

I look forward to hearing from an Official Employee agent for further advice on this.
