CANNOT Turn Off Autopay

The Billing team,

I’m writing to request assistance on helping in turn off autopay for my previous NOW Internet Plan.

Situation:

From September 2025 to August 2026, I was on the NOW Internet plan for which I had Autopay turned on. I moved to a different address in September 2026, where I bought a different Xfinity Postpaid plan. At this point, I had turned off autopay on my account previously associated with the NOW Internet plan. As a troubleshooting step while installing the new plan equipment, I was asked to turn on autopay momentarily. I was told that I’ll be offered a refund if I was charged for the NOW Internet plan since I no longer used it. However, when I try to turn off Autopay on my previous NOW Internet Plan account, it always throws an error saying “Something unexpected happened, please try again”. I tried doing this across multiple devices, and in incognito browser window but it always gave the same error. The frustrating part is that I was billed for this service though since I’m unable to get servive cancelled for this account as auto pay is still turned on. I was billed for September 2026 and October 2026 because of this. I tried contacting the chat assistant, but they’ve been helpless so far - they suggest me the same steps which lead to the same error. Please help me cancel service for my NOW Internet plan account. I’m a current Xfinity Postpaid customer, I don’t want to keep on being charged for the service I no longer use because of a technical problem.

I really request urgent into this because the November cycle billing date is very close, my account associated with the NOW Internet plan still shows autopay ON.

Hi there, and thanks for taking the time to post on the community forums, user_gpsjef! I'm sorry that you're running into so many issues disabling autopay for your NOW Internet service. Our team's access to NOW accounts is very limited, but we'd be more than happy to look into what can be done to help! I see that you've already sent a direct message our way. Please keep in mind that sending unsolicited Direct Messages to an Official Employee of the Xfinity Community Forum, is a violation of Forum Guidelines. In the future, we ask that you refrain from sending Direct Messages until invited to do so. No worries this time around though! I'll meet you in private, so we can keep your information secure. Talk to you soon!
