beware comcast scam most realistic ive ever heard/seen

To do so, click on the chat icon located at the top right of this forums page.   

Here are detailed steps to direct message us:  

 • Click "Sign In" if necessary 

 • Click the direct message icon

 • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon 

 • Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list 

 • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window 

 • Press Enter to send your message 

I got the same call and they sounded legit to me too.  The buying a gift card was the only thing that sounded hokey to me.  I started searching Comcast looking for the billing department number to verify the offer before buying the gift card. Ironically, finding the number to the Comcast billing department was impossible so instead I searched for comcast billing scam and found your entry instead.  Thanks for sharing.  You saved for from having useless Apple gift cards.

I got this same call today.  It did sound completely legitimate!  They used a local number, calmed all my concerns and I was interested, until they mentioned the Apple prepaid card.  Thank you for your post!  Stinking rip-off artists!
