Autopay

I have done searches, I have tried the xfinity chat assistant, yet I cannot find, IN WRITING, how to verify that I get a $10 discount if I set up Autopay.  I'm NOT going to do it unless I get the discount, so how do I find confirmation, BEFORE I SET IT UP, that it will result in me getting a $10 discount.  As far as questions go:

1) Is there still a $10 discount for using Autopay?

2) Is the $10 discount just for Autopay, or must you also set up paperless billing?

3) Is the $10 discount available whether you use a bank account or a credit or debit card or is it only available if you use your bank account?

4) Is it possible to set up Autopay and at the same time change my due date so that it is due the day after I get my social security check autodesposited? (Not essential, just would be nice to have them be in sync like that).

5) I apologize as I asked a similar question not long ago, was told that the discount was still available, and was told it would work if I set it up with my bank account.  So, after that I just figured I would set it up some time later and I wondered if the person responding just mentioned bank account because that's what was on his/her mind or if it was because the discount is only available for Autopay if you use your bank account as opposed to a credit card, but I can't find out how to CONFIRM, BEFORE I SET IT UP, whether any of these things are true.

EDIT: Okay, this is weird too.  I went to check on paperless billing, and it says it is ON, yet I haven't gotten any bill in my email.  I think.  I just checked through my trash emails but it didn't go back far enough to make sure.  I am pretty good about checking my email regularly, and I swear I do not recall getting a bill in my email at all.  Yet it says it's on, and it does show the correct email address.  I swear I don't think I've gotten a bill in my email, but to make sure I guess I will have to wait until the next bill to make sure. (Aug 15 IIRC).

Thanks for any help.

Good morning @OldeFatGuy!  Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out to Xfinity Support!  We are so glad to hear from you and want to assist in any way that we can with your billing concerns.  No worries!  You have reached out to the best team to assist in getting things squared away.

When you have Xfinity Internet and sign up for automatic payments and paperless billing with a stored bank account, you’ll get a $10 discount on your monthly Xfinity bill. The discount begins within 45 days after signing up and may take up to two (2) billing statements to show up on your Xfinity bill.  The automatic payments and paperless billing discount is only available for customers who enroll with a stored bank account and subscribe to Xfinity Internet.

Do you use our Xfinity app or access your account online?  You can follow this link https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/setting-up-auto-payments and set up autopay and this link https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/signing-up-for-paperless-billing for paperless billing sign up.

You can also change your due date online/via the app as well.
1. Sign in to xfinity.com.
2. Click the Account icon Account icon and then click Billing.
3. On the Billing page, scroll down to Bill Settings. Then, click Bill Due Date.
If you also have Xfinity Mobile, you need to click Bill Details first to see Bill Settings. You can then scroll down to Bill Due Date.

4. Choose the new date by clicking the drop-down menu next to New bill due date. Then, click Continue.

5. On the next page, you'll see your current bill due date and the new date you chose. Click the Submit button to make the change.

6. The next page confirms your due date has changed. Click Thanks, I’m Done to finish.

7. You'll receive a confirmation email with your new due date.

    • If you’re enrolled in automatic payments, the email will tell you when the automatic payments will be deducted from your account.
    • If you’re not signed up for automatic payments, you’ll get an email listing your new bill due date along with other billing details.

@XfinityArmand Okay, now you did the same thing.  You specifically used the term "bank account" and I am still unclear on whether that means ONLY a bank account or if credit/debit cards get the discount too, because when I was messing around with it, it sure did appear as though you could set it up using either a bank account OR a credit/debit card.  So, once again, can someone please answer my specific question:

Do you get the discount if you use a credit or debit card OR is it only for those that use a bank account (checking)?

Apologies for any confusion.  When referring to "bank account" we are reffing to a payment initiated by way of checking account number and routing number.  That is a payment that is an ACH payment, like an e-check.  The discount is applied then the autopay is enrolled with that payment method.

@XfinityArmand Okay, thank you.  One wonders why it lets you use a debit/credit card to set it up but whatever.
