Account Sent to collections

I lived in the state of Washington and had comcast/xfinity for my ISP. When I registered for the service 4 years ago, they gave me a tv box at no cost. I did not use it but I held on to it. I moved to South Carolina and called xfinity directly to transfer my service to my new address. Nothing was mentioned about me turning in the equipment as I still have internet with you all. My internet bill has been paid to date with no problems. However, while checking my email, I got a notification that a bill from comcast was sent to debt collections for what I can only assume is for the tv box. No one from comcast has reached out to me about the issue. I am not willing to pay a debt collection agency when I did everything correct. How is this able to be fixed.

You have reached the right place.
