Account cancelled, still received next bill

I called and cancelled all services on May 20, 2026. That was 5 days before the end of my billing cycle (which was paid in full). I was provided a confirmation number and advised I would be receiving a refund of $31.20 within 3-5 business days.

Today, May 24, 2026, I have digitally received a new bill for the next cycle starting May 28th.

I waited in the virtual chat for 30 minutes while being advised I would be connected to a specialist to resolve the matter but was never connected.

Hey @Brittanylately, Thank you for visiting our official Xfinity Forums Community support page. The account does remain active and open for a small period of time after a disconnection request in case you change your mind. If you have rental equipment, the account will completely close once all equipment is returned and the final bill will be generated. The bill would be backdated to the disconnection request date. Do you still have any Xfinity issued equipment on the account?
