Account cancellation 2 months and now account overdue

I had xfinity for over 8 years when I applied there was a promotion that was without contract. I canceled my account because I was tired of calling almost 9 times out of the year complaining about the service (I paid for fast and more gig on internet) I was told that I only needed to pay my balance of $80 and return the equipment which gave me credit in doing so. 2 months after cancellation I’m now getting a notification that I owe $188. The $100 was because of early contract termination however when I asked for a copy of this supposedly contract they could now give me a copy nor give me a date of when it was signed or when the contract ended. I’m very upset , no one not even a supposed higher manager could help me.

Hi there. We can certainly understand why you're upset. If you were advised that your final balance was approximately $80, returned the equipment, and then received an additional charge two months later, we'd want to understand exactly where that balance came from as well.

We also understand your concern regarding the early termination fee. If a contract commitment is being referenced, it's reasonable to want clarification on when the agreement was established, the terms associated with it, and how the charge was calculated.

At this point, we'd like to take a closer look at the account history, disconnection details, equipment return records, and the charges that were added after the account was closed. That will help us determine what occurred and whether the balance is accurate.

Can you please send us a direct message with your full name and service address so we can take a closer look?

How to send us a direct message:

- Click “Sign In” if necessary.
- Click the “Direct Messaging” icon.
- Click the “Start new conversation” icon, which looks like a pencil and paper.
- In the “To:” line, type “Xfinity Support.”
- As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select “Xfinity Support” from that list.
- An “Xfinity Support” graphic will replace the “To:” line.
- Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
- Press Enter to send it.

Talk to you there!
