$15 activation fee for streaming device
I just signed up for internet. 5 year, $40/mo for 300 speed. It said the device was "free" so I added it, not realizing they would charge an activation fee. I dont need the device and will never subscribe to content. I want that $15 refunded.
Also I was charged a $125 "deposit". What does that cover????

Hi there! We can certainly understand why you'd have questions about those charges.
The $15 charge is typically an activation or setup fee associated with the Xfinity Flex/Xumo streaming device. While the device itself may be included at no monthly cost, there can still be a one-time activation fee when it's added to the account. If you don't plan to use the device, we'd be happy to review the order and see what options may be available regarding the charge.
As for the $125 deposit, that is generally not a charge for equipment or service itself. Deposits can be required in certain situations during the account setup process and are typically applied according to the terms provided at the time the order was placed. We'd want to review your specific account to determine exactly why the deposit was assessed and whether it is refundable.
