Unable to buy a new phone since I moved
Good evening,
I have been a very happy customer with Xfinity for several years now. I discontinued my Internet service in New Mexico last July 2025 due to the fact that you guys did not serve East Texas. I however kept my cell phone service with you because I appreciated the cell phone service and I didn’t want to switch companies. Fast-forward a year and now I’m trying to buy a new phone from you guys, and the only place I can get it shipped to is my old address in Albuquerque because you guys do not register East Texas as a service area. I spoke to several of your customer assistance, agents, and all of them were incredibly helpful, however, they were not able to change the shipping address for my new phone that I wanted to buy from you guys to my current address in Texas. In order to purchase a new phone from you, I would need to drive to Louisiana to your nearest location in Shreveport Louisiana. I need you guys to read this message and understand that I kept my service with you because I loved Xfinity. However, just because you guys don’t offer Internet service in East Texas should not dictate whether or not I can continue to make purchases from your company to continue to use your cell service. All of your representatives did everything that they could to try to change my address. this is not a fault of your customer service representatives. This is a fault in your system that you will not let me update my shipping address for me to buy a new phone from you unless it is in a service area that you provide Internet service to of which I kept you guys for cell phone service even though you did not provide Internet service services to my new address. I think that your corporate office needs to be aware of this glitch in your system so that it can be remedied so that you do not lose any customers because of this.
