Paramount+ : I cannot access the CC options with the Xfinity remote when streaming

I can use the remote to navigate the Paramount+ app in Xfinity, but when streaming a program and pressing a button (direction button for instance) to bring the interface where the CC button is, I cannot navigate to it. It is ON by default and I cannot turn it OFF or alter it. Any suggestion? Right n

Thanks, I actually found out the problem only occurred during the Champions League multiplex - when watching a game I cannot navigate the UI to turn CC on/off. But it works when watching any other program.
