For anyone reading this thread. You need to confirm that your phone is UNLOCKED before you switch carriers. ALWAYS! Every carrier has these instructions clearly listed when you request a port out pin. Otherwise, this is what you'll have to go through

I truly am starting to dislike Xfinity Mobile. I can’t believe that they do not unlock phones that have been paid off for a year. i personally did not switch carriers, i upgraded the phone with the same carrier (xfinity). I would recomend as stated above to UNlock before switching carriers, or to unlock before activating a new device with the same carrier. xfinity was able to f
