my recordings stop a few seconds early

Got a new Smart TV 4 months ago. New DVR about 2 months ago. Since then, our recorded programs stop before their end. Time on DVR clock is correct. All threads I can read are 2 yrs old. Is there a better fix?

Same issues not on all recordings I wonder if it’s certain shows or networks
