Splitter causing no internet connection

Got an Xfinity-only setup in the apartment building. Have activated the Xfinity gateway for the internet with a direct connection to the wall. The Internet works great. I am using the Xfinity's 3 ft cable from wall to splitter. Using Xfinity's 3 ft cable from splitter to Xfinity gateway and a RCA 6ft cable to TV Box.
