I upgraded my modem yesterday, a painful experience because the app process didn't work, and it is a [Edited: "Language"] rage-filled nightmare getting any live person on the phone from Comcast these days. Anyway, it is running hot to the touch. I used chat last night to "talk" to a tech, but I was

Good luck.By waiting, you might luck into same results as I did. I wouldn't hold my breath on "the A team" though. The "manual" that you can find on the Internet does not list any real temperature specs. It asks for 2-3 inches space around the thing,

Please post any results you get to this. I had the same issue when I installed mine last October, and posted an almost identical message. I got no response. I feel your pain with the 800 number. Anyway, in October, my gateway ran at 120 F. for about

I admit to being a complete tech novice. I don't even know what to call all the different pieces of my home wifi set up. Ah ha. That leads me to believe that you "inherited" the Ruckus when you moved into this house. You don't really know if it was working before you moved in (but it probably was). You may be able to go to "myxfinity.com", and click on the little wifi i

I had never heard of a Ruckus... other than a Honda motorbike, and a great Will Smith line from Men in Black. A quick internet search leads me to believe that it isn't something a "complete tech novice" would buy. All lights out is not a good sign fo

I'm using N600 WiFi Cable Modem Router (C3700). I have chatted with an agent on Xfinity Assistant to reflect this on Sunday (1/24) and follow

Are you connecting to the router with an ethernet cable, or WiFi?Ethernet will support 10/100/1000 Mbps. Almost all of the 10's are gone by now. However, some of the older WiFi standards support less than 50 Mbps.If you are using ethernet, you should

I was successful at getting the call center to disable the Xfinity Voice mail. The person said they had to do it on their end, and it would take 24 hours to accomplish, and it worked. My local answering machine answered on the 4th ring, which must hav

We are trying to use the Advanced Call Forwarding with a long established Comcast/Xfinity account that includes two Xfinity Voice phone numbers. We are logged into the account holder user (the only user on the account) and I can confirm in My Xfinity users that the user role is Primary. However, und

It sounds like your problem is exactly the same as  mine. Advanced Call Forwarding is needed to set up NoMoRobo... I have spent a couple of hours with the call center to no avail.  I can't seem to make them understand that the feature throws an error

I currently have a landline with ATT. Can I use xfinity voice and use my landline phone number? I have had it for a long time and to change my number will be quite a hassle.

Usually. I just did that. but the guy at the store said that there were a few exchanges in  our area that it wan't possible. I went into a local store and the guy there did most of it. I wasn't interested in changing to Xfinity Internet/Voice unless
