Switching from AT&T Internet to Xfinity Internet

I have signed up for new Internet Service with Xfinity. I'm switching from AT&T to Xfinity. I'm thinking that I need to schedule a tech to come out because I don't think I can use AT&T wiring for this. How is this normally handled?
