There was a previous question that was closed of course before it's time. I have an Arris T25 dual LAN Port modem. I have an ASUS GT-AC5300 the supports Link aggregation and Duel Wan.  I have internet speed with Comcast at 1200 mbps ... I have all the hardware and service from Comcast to su

@jlavaseur makes perfect sense ... I see probably need the Netgear modem as suggested by Brie and Mary and the router you suggested - along with hardware you also suggested that has gigabit network cards. Problem is that I shelled out close to $5

@XfinityMary    Mary, I see there is now a modem with Telephony that supports 1.2 GB internet speed ... when I bought the T25 3 weeks ago this was the fastest Telephony modem supported by Comcast.    It has 2 1GB ports (TWO

@jlavaseur Ports 5 and 6 on the Asus AC5300 are reserved for using Link Aggregation. The problem does not appear with my actual router ... it's the fact that the T25 itself has the second port not able to send a signal ... at least from my observa

@BruceW Not sure why you are suggesting Cat 8 would NOT be compatible with Gigabit and more ports since Cat 8 was made expressly for that purpose. Yes, I used Cat 6 cables initially just to setup the mode/router. Whatever I do with the modem,

As part of the service that Comcast/Xfinity offers, you need to get a telephone bundle with Comcast. There are only a few modems offered that support the networked phone, and the Arris T25 is one of them. But trying to get Comcast to respond here

I am seeing comments on the retailers website where I bought this that although the T25 allows both ports to be used (with a router that support Link aggregation), that Comcast itself disables the second port through their firmware update. Can som

I just upgraded my router to one that supports WAN aggregation.  Do I need a second IP adress for that?  Can you tell me what the price of that service is?  Thank you for your time.

Decided to buy an ASUS GT-AC5300 which supports the protocol .... will post again when I get this setup

It would depend if your router supports it, I have a asus rt-ax86u, it’s configured in the router it’s self, you do have to supply the router with 2 1000 Mbps active feeds, that particular router, says it’s multi gig, which it is, b
