Subject app stopped functioning: error message "..unable to load guide...". Has this old app finally reached end-of life for old Android 9?

I like the new Adaptive Remote app, works great for me. However I have an issue with the volume control part of the app. I followed the directions to set up IoT device (BroadLink) and created the "Applet" but after entering the commands on the volume

I cannot get my applets to work for the volume control on the remote application. I'm sure I set it up correctly. Is there an issue that won't allow it to function?

TV Remote app not working

App no loading data and the app has disappeared from the app store wirh a message that says app not available this app is not a available iin youyour country or area. (in california)tv remote [Edited: "All Caps"]
