Last Sunday a good friend recommended XM after I mentioned that my wife and I were about to switch to the Sprint 55+ plan and pickup two Galaxy S10's with a $420 discount on each.
I called XM and discussed plans, phone pricing and trade in values. After which I sat down with a spreadsheet and concluded that over a 2 year period with the $250 rebate on each S10 that the XM plan was better than the Sprint offering. Talked it over with my wife and we decided to switch to XM.
I called on Monday to place the order to be told that the $250 promo had ended. Needless to say, without the $500 incentive, the impetus to switch was eliminated.
I understand that promos have a limited lifetime but if the agent on Sunday had told me that was the last day I would have analyzed, discussed and called back that day. Secondly agents should have a one or two day latitude to be able to offer discontinued promotions to potential customers who found themselves in the position I did.
