I signed up on may 10th or 11th of 2018....They did NOT inform me of this change.....When I signed up on the PHONE, after checking the economy lineup included all of our wanted channels, for $59.99, for the double play with Internet, (i had to lower my linespeed from 150 to 100 to get the bundle) I also signed up for the home security at the same time, we had our service installed on the 15th and the guy, while very courtious, most likely didn't realize or now to tell me that they changed my selected service package's contents BEFORE IT WAS EVEN INSTALLED...I called up comcast and was told of this problem....Would've been nice to been told "in a few days, we'll be removing channels from the bundle you are signing up for RIGHT NOW...." also had to pay 10 bucks more to get those channels back...We had been "grandfathered" in with the economy package and they wouldn';t even switch us over to the now current standard package at the promised price....ROBBERY!Makking us pay omore for what we were promised int he very beginning
OMG - your story is even worse than mine. You signed up AFTER the channel lineup change and still got "fleeced" for extra money to get what you ordered. The more stories I read, the more disgusted I get. I have been a loyal Comcast customer for 30+ years, never offered any "special packages" after first signing up. All special packages are reserved for new customers only. How about rewarding loyal, long-term, pay-your-bill-on-time customers????? Bet Comcast never thought of that. They better watch out because I know (myself included) there are many unhappy customers looking for alternatives and there seems to be quite a few out there finally.

Same thing happened to us! We ordered the cheapest package so that our 19 month old granddaughter could watch her favorite show "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" on the Disney Channel. Less than 3 weeks into a one-year contract, The Disney Channel is removed from the channel line up and we were told the only way we could get it was to pay an additional $10 - $20 per month (or we could return the equipment and cancel the service). We chose the latter!
