We had Xfinity phone before with our own cable telephony modem and after installing the xfi gateway, we have internet but no dial tone on a corded phone connected to the xfi gateway. App says that there are no outages.

We have also done a gateway restart. We get dead air - no dial tone or any sound at all.

I chatted with Customer Service to request 4K boxes for my TVs that are 4K, including a DVR.  I have my own cable modem and router so was told that the 4K boxes are wireless and require a leased Xfinity router/modem.  First, is this true, and second, does Comcast have a plan to allow the 4K boxes to

I also heard that but I gave it a shot... no dice in Santa Cruz.  So I'm doing the shipping route.

The Santa Cruz store was out of stock so I'm asking the original Comcast folks who DM'd me to ship me a unit.  Thanks.

I just made an appointment for Tuesday at 3pm - I let them know that I need a XG1v4 so hopefully they will have one in stock.

Simply put... people are going back to wired gigabit Ethernet because WiFi has just not delivered the goods - even with all the bells and whistles.  I paid serious money for my modem and router to get good service and the WiFi just doesn't live up to

Just wanted to pile on - I have a very similar configuration (own an Arris T25 modem) and I'm working with a Comcast tech to sort out the best solution.  I think we're just going to replace my HD DVR with the 4K DVR XG1V4 and leave the rest on HD (I'

I just got off the phone with Xfinity customer service and had the same experience.  They were only offering me the wireless box that requires the Xfinity modem at $14/month, not the xg1v4 4K dvr box.  Is it still possible to get the xg1v4 4k box as
