I moved recently and transferred my service via xfinity.com. All seemed well until I missed my appointment due to an insane freak thunderstorm. I contacted xfinity to let them know I’d be late via text in response to a “tech on the way” notice. He didn’t get it. He called and I told him I was 30 minutes out. He said he’d wait, but he didn’t and also didn’t answer the phone. I contacted xfinity again the following day and was told that I had an appointment that day, unbeknownst to me, 12pm - 4pm. No one showed. I tried “ask xfinity” that was a joke. Just an added layer of frustration. I called several more times and finally got a real person. After 3 transfers and lots of confusion, I was told that a new line was needed for my home and it would be completed by 1130pm, this was day 3. It didn’t happen. Day 4 I got to speak to another 3-4 people and it ended with someone telling me I was scheduled for an all day appointment and someone would be at my place soon. Again l, didn’t happen. Day 5 and another 3 confused people lasted, I was told by a customer service rep that it’ll definitely be in that day and she’d call me back the next day just to make sure. No one showed and she didn’t call. This is day 6. Ask xfinity is more useless than ever. The system says, it can’t help because I don’t have an account, so I check on my account, it says activated. It’s not, but there is an account. Worst service I’ve ever experienced in my life. The communication is abysmal. Customer service can’t talk to techs, techs don’t have access to real time service updates, ask xfinity can’t even access accounts from the same site. It’s insane.
