I'm having the same problems. I moved here a month ago and I've gone through 3 modems, thinking the modem was the problem. But it's not. And having to pay Comcast rental fees to use one of their modems has not resolved the problem. I can't get an actual human being to speak with on the telephone. I use chat sessions and the customer service agents I'm chatting with keep dropping the chat. They tell me they are looking at the billing to see why my modem is not connected to the billing system and the agent chat just disappears. I wish I had the option to use Verizon - the next time I buy a home I will specifically seek out a location that does not have Comcast as the only available internet solution. How sad it that? This is terrible service, especially for those of us who are forced to work remotely due to COVID. If I lose my job because I can't get reliable internet while working from home- I guarantee I will be doing more than posting on a forum.
